Childrens program

At the United Martial Arts Centers we specialize in children’s Martial Arts development. Our program is second to none because we base our whole program on the same educational values in the public schools. Everything is don e using positive reinforcement while having in a fun and exciting environment. He children’s program is designed not only for your child to learn self-defense, but to become winners in life. Our goals is for all of the children in our centers to follow the five tenets of Taekwondo.
They are:

Perseverance: Children never give up when they set a goal

Self-Control: That the have enough control to make those tough decisions

Indomitable Spirit: That whatever they do, they do their best

Courtesy: Where ever they go, they are always showing proper respect

Integrity: They try their best and do the right thing all the time, even when they are alone

With all the classes based on these theories, the outcome is a more confident, respectful, disciplined child. That is our goal at UMAC, that every student becomes the best that they can be in whatever they do.

Every child that enrolls in our center goes through an individual evaluation to determine where there is in need of development. For example, if a child has a lot of extra energy, the Instructor’s will develop a program to channel that energy in a constructive positive direction. It the child is shy, the instructor’s will develop a program to pull them out of the shyness and develop confidence and the Yes I Can attitude. All of the Instructors at UMAC are trained to individualize all of the student’s programs to meet their individual needs. Even within the classes.

An added feature to the United Martial Arts Centers children’s program are our incentive program’s. We have numerous programs that promote superior character at home, school, and where ever they go. There also is a special program called MARP, the Martial Arts Reading Program to help motivate students to read. For more information you could call any one of our centers.
